Studio Connections
Studio Connections is a fine arts center dedicated to quality training for students of all ages. Classes in art, music, and drama, as well as private instruction are available to serious students and to those seeking a new experience in a safe and nurturing environment.
On the 1st Friday of each month, the Studio hosts Coffeehouse Jam, a popular and dynamic artistic event that features live musicians and an Open Mic Session.

Percussion Possibilities!
Work with Brian J. Harris in this beginning percussion class for students grades 4-7. We'll explore keyboard percussion, snare drum/practice pad, and auxiliary instruments (bass drum, cymbals, triangle, tambourine).

Batucaxé
The pounding of more than twenty drummers, the intense energy and joy of dancers, and the vibrant colors of Brazilian-inspired rhythms. Batucaxé (pronounced bah-too-cah-SHAY) is a unique drum and dance ensemble based in Tucson, Arizona. It’s a combination of performing group, school, and community, born from a common love of Brazilian rhythms and shaped into its own sound over five years of performances.
A Batucaxé show starts with the pulse of the samba drums, made famous in Brazil’s enormous Carnaval celebrations. Our singers and guitarists add the stick-in-your-mind melodies and Grooves. Top it all off with the raw enthusiasm and grace of our dancers, and it’s just about impossible for audiences to stay in their seats.
Batucaxé brings big sound and heart to stages year-round, from fairs and festivals to corporate events and private parties. Smaller ensembles of Batucaxé’s drummers and dancers also perform for more intimate events and venues. We reach into audiences in ways that few groups can, and our professionalism and preparation lead many clients to hire us back, again and again.
