Donna B.

Biography: Donna has enjoyed music as long as she can remember, primarily singing alto in church choirs, playing piano/keyboard, listening to rock bands, and doing some very unprofessional dancing. Born and raised in Mississippi, her favorite style of music is the Blues. During the past 3 years, she's been studying drums & percussion with Mike Burris, the Instructor, and has begun singing lead vocals with Krakatoa. Donna also plays snare drum and sings for Batucaxe, a Tucson-based Afro-Brazilian percussion group (www.batucaxe.org). She has a bachelor's degree in art education and a master's degree in English, and her "day job" has always focused on publications management, graphic design, editing, and various other forms of communication. In fact, she's quite good at talking, a talent that can be verified by her husband Allen, the previous Accompaniment Director for Krakatoa.
