Notes about the ONLINE Audio/Video Players:

  • The mute button is in the lower right-hand corner of the Player. Use your computer's playback volume controls.  Since most of you will be playing along to these, I'd recommend wearing headphones so you can really crank it up!

  • Click anywhere on the Player you're interested in.  Then click on the play/pause button in the lower left-hand corner (has a white, right-pointing triangle on it).  If the session is fully loaded, the horizontal bar to the right of the play/pause button will be completely grey - please be patient if it's not complete, but you should still be able to start playing it.  You can slide the white, upward-pointing triangle to the left to fast-rewind or to the right to fast-forward, while either in play or pause mode.

This technique is used for a Muted, Secco (dry) or Staccato (detached) Articulation, especially useful when playing on a resonant drum (e.g., low Tom-Tom or Tympani) or percussion instrument (e.g., Cymbals, Cowbell, Vibraphone, or even a frying pan!).
